Factors to Consider on Dental Implants: San Francisco vs. Tijuana
To begin with, Tijuana is 522 miles from San Francisco. That’s an eight hour drive. A patient would need to stay overnight in a hotel, visit the dentist the following day, then drive back home again. If the appointment was not first thing in the morning, a second overnight stay might be needed.
Furthermore, several visits to the doctor’s office are necessary, the first being simply an assessment of whether the patient is a suitable candidate for implants. The majority of people are, but in some cases dental implants may not be the correct procedure.
Taking into account the cost of travel and accommodation, by the time the work has been carried out there is probably not much difference between having the work done in Tijuana, or having it done in San Francisco, to say nothing of the amount of time spent traveling.
